Water heaters
The job TC’s is best known for around Campbellsville: a new water heater, put in properly, at a price that makes sense.

Water heater replacement
This is the job TC’s has talked about most in public. In May 2025 the company posted that most residential water heaters can be replaced for under $1,000, including all the materials and an inspection. Kentucky requires a plumbing permit and an inspection for every water heater replacement, so a proper job includes both. Ask for today’s price when you call.
Not every cold shower means a new tank. On an electric heater it is often a burned-out element or a thermostat, and in limestone country the lower element tends to go first because it sits in the sediment. We tell you plainly whether a repair is worth the money or the tank is finished.
Everything under pressure, from the meter or the well to the last tap in the house.
Leak repair
A leak shows up as a water bill that jumped, a soft spot in the floor, a stain on the ceiling or a well pump that will not stop running. We find where the water is coming from, repair it, and check the repair under pressure before we leave.
Older houses around Taylor County often still have galvanized steel water lines that have rusted nearly shut from the inside, and many homes and mobile homes from the late 1970s to the mid 1990s have gray polybutylene. We replace bad sections, or the whole system when patching no longer makes sense.
South-central Kentucky winters are mild until they are not. A night in the single digits finds every line in a vented crawl space, an outside wall or an unheated well house. We repair the breaks and show you what to do so the same pipe does not freeze next winter.
A great deal of the plumbing in this part of Kentucky lives in a crawl space, where a leak can run for weeks before anyone knows. TC’s works under the house: the company’s public job photos include a crawl space standing in water. We find the break, repair it and tell you what we saw down there.
Everything that runs downhill, out to the city sewer or the septic tank.
Drain cleaning & repair
A drain that keeps slowing down has a reason: grease, a sagging run of pipe, a bad vent or old cast iron that has roughened inside. We clear the stoppage and, when it keeps coming back, find and repair the cause.
When every drain in the house is slow or the lowest one backs up, the trouble is in the main line. In town that line runs to the city sewer. In the county it runs to a septic tank. We repair the line and its cleanouts. Pumping the tank and work on the leach field are jobs for a septic contractor, and we will tell you when that is what you need.
Spring rain on clay and limestone sends water toward basements and crawl spaces. A sump pump that has not been tested since last year is the one that fails in the storm. We replace tired pumps and fix the check valves and discharge lines that stop them working.
Hard water is rough on faucets: cartridges stick, aerators fill with grit and handles stiffen. We repair good faucets, replace worn ones, and change the old shut-off valves and supply lines underneath at the same time.
A toilet that runs can waste hundreds of gallons a day, which matters on a water bill and matters more on a septic system. We replace worn fill valves and flappers, reset toilets that rock or leak at the floor, and install new ones.
A shower that will not hold its temperature, a spout that runs while the shower is on, or a valve dripping inside the wall. We repair and replace tub and shower valves, drains and trim.
For the farms and homes that are not on a city main, and for anyone tired of scale.
Well & cistern plumbing
Nearly every home in Taylor County is on public water now, but some farms and older home places still draw from a well or a cistern. We work on the plumbing side of those systems: the pressure tank, the pressure switch, the lines and the valves.
Water that has travelled through Kentucky limestone carries dissolved rock with it. It leaves white scale on fixtures and a layer of sediment in the water heater. A softener or the right filter protects the plumbing, and we can install one and plumb it properly.
Kentucky has a statewide plumbing code. Water heater replacements, new plumbing and most alterations need a permit and an inspection by the state plumbing inspector for the county. On those jobs the permit and inspection are part of our price, and you hear that price before work begins.
Burst pipe or bad leak: close the main water valve. It is usually where the water line enters the house, in the basement or crawl space on the side facing the road, or at the meter box near the road. Then call 270-299-1414.
Smell gas: leave the building and call your gas utility or 911 from outside. Do not look for the leak or try to fix it yourself.
